Journeys from PADS to HOPE serves individuals in northwest suburban Cook County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. However, our member agencies are unable to provide transportation to or from the shelters.
The goal of the PADS program is to provide hospitality, food, and emergency shelter to homeless people. The sites are staffed entirely by volunteers who prepare, supervise, and clean sleeping accommodations. They also provide, prepare, and offer dinner, breakfast, and a sack lunch, all in a welcoming, supportive, safe environment.
