PADS Sites

Journeys from PADS to HOPE serves individuals in northwest suburban Cook County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. However, our member agencies are unable to provide transportation to or from the shelters. THE PADS SITES ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED AND WILL REOPEN OCTOBER 1ST. The goal of the PADS program is to provide hospitality, food, and emergency shelter to homeless people from October 1 through April 30 of each year. The sites are staffed entirely by volunteers who prepare, supervise, and clean sleeping accommodations. They also provide, prepare, and offer dinner, breakfast, and a sack lunch, all in a welcoming, supportive, safe environment.

  • 18 sites are located in the Northwest Suburban area.
  • Services available October 1st - April 30th, seven days a week, from 7 pm to 7 am, including holidays.
  • The program is funded by faith communities, individuals, corporations, social and civic organizations and foundations.
