Northrop Grumman Command Point CAD System  
Northwest Central Dispatch System utilizes a computer aided dispatch system (CAD) to assist call takers and dispatchers with their day to day work. The key word with this system is "aided". The computer is programmed to give the dispatcher greater accuracy and speed in providing service. It will recommend specific units to send to a call based on the location of the call.  
   

microDATA xT911™ Phone System

The IP-based 9-1-1 phone system aligns with the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) standards for Next Generation 9-1-1 call handling. The system can accept landline, wireless and Voice Over Internet Protocal (VoIP) calls. Call

Call taking software provides the 9-1-1 caller’s name, address, phone number, and associated Police, Fire, and EMS agency information (if available) in a standard Windows format.

Additional features of the new system include a digital soft-switch with built-in automatic call distribution, back-up Session Internet Protocol (SIP) phone, should the call taker’s workstation be unavailable.

 
   
microDATA Mapping  
Northwest Central Dispatch uses mapping software provided by microDATA. This software an integrated map that provides call takers with superior situational awareness. When a 9-1-1 call is received, the map will zoom and highlight the caller’s location. This enhanced call taking capability provides further information to assist call takers with dispatching the appropriate emergency service(s) agency (Fire, EMS, Police).
